What does an Art Director do?

What does an Art Director do?

Art directors have an innovative mind and a creative heart. They remake the world and visualize their ideas with a dazzling display of creativity.

Art directors are dreamers with an exuberant imagination. They invent concepts and ideas and create new worlds – to bring others to do or purchase something, or simply to fascinate them. Communication design, graphic design, layout, and composition are their daily bread. They use every medium: Video, posters, Internet, radio, blogs, ads, social media, games, events, guerrilla actions… They work with photographers, directors, illustrators, radio, film, or digital producers to ensure that their ideas become reality. They work worldwide in creative agencies, in the music, sports, automotive, engineering, and fashion industry. And they think up entirely new channels – because that’s their job.
