To train the creative thinkers of the future before the future has happened; to engineer pop culture with creative insight and strategic thinking from a global perspective. Students learn to solve problems with whatever discipline, channel, skill or craft necessary, using new and emerging media as well as traditional media.

Important Details About Studying in New York

Real-World Experience

Throughout the program, students develop their portfolios through hands-on projects, collaboration, and exposure to real-world advertising and creative industry practices. Guest speakers, agency visits, industry partnerships, and faculty-guided projects help students strengthen their creative skills, build professional networks, and prepare for careers in advertising and the creative industries.

Application Deadlines & Program Schedule

The Art Direction and Copywriting Portfolio Certificate programs begin in January, April, July and October each year. Each program consists of eight 10-week quarters, with breaks between quarters, for a total of 1,900 clock hours.
