M.AD San Francisco
A creative wonderland by the bay.
Welcome to M.AD San Francisco—a cutting-edge learning space and a mind-bending creative experience. Here you’ll explore the boundaries of what you ever thought possible.
Collaboration, Innovation, and Ideas
From Chinatown to The Marina, Haight & Ashbury to the Muir Woods across the bay, San Francisco is a city where people come together to express their voice. Your creativity won’t just live here, it will thrive.
The school is just a block away from the very popular and very funky Polk Street restaurant and bar scene, and only a quick MUNI ride to places to live and explore in the city. Whatever inspires you, whether it’s a stroll through a farmers’ market to find the perfect avocado, a secret house party featuring your favorite DJ, or a quiet cup of espresso and a good book, you’ll find a place for it and people to enjoy it with.
Art directors and copywriters huddled or hustling all over. A copywriting class in one corner critiquing Instagram posts. The teacher howling at them. In the photo studio a female student dressed as Elvis with wings attached, gyrating and singing a bad impression of “Are You Lonesome Tonight”. One teacher in the corner with a student who has an idea for an app and the instructor tells the student, sadly there is already such an app. First quarter students headed out the door going somewhere loudly. The group spreads open to let a very tall man stepping high in slow motion while paying “Beautiful Dreamer” on his flute.
