Demand for Creative People Highest in 15 Years
Now is the time to start your creative career.
Advertising jobs are at their highest level since the start of the 21st century.
Advertising agency jobs in the U.S. totaled over 190,000 in the third quarter of 2015. This is just under the all-time-high seen during the dot-com boom of the late 1990s. These numbers will continue to grow as the industry transitions to a more digital marketplace.
But, advertising agencies are no longer the end-all, be-all.
These days, a Miami Ad School grad is likely to be hired by a media company like Facebook or a tech firm like Salesforce. With many enterprises establishing in-house creative departments, competition for creative professionals is heating up.
Unlike most educational institutions, Miami Ad School provides placement assistance throughout a graduate’s career. Miami Ad School holds portfolio reviews for new graduates throughout the year in cities around the world. “At the last portfolio review in New York, we had over two-and-half times as many recruiters as graduates,” said Carolyn Kreilein, Placement Director for Miami Ad School. “The agency recruiters had to wait in line.”
In addition, graduates receive over 500 job leads every year— from entry-level to senior positions—for life.
"Every job I’ve gotten has been a result of a connection from Miami Ad School.”p>

Companies participate in Miami Ad School’s internship program as a way to get a early preview of the freshest creative talent, and often snatch up students interning for them right after they graduate. Art Director Ricardo Varela and Copywriter Nicole Lulinsky were both hired by Facebook after interning at their New York office.
There is no better time for people aspiring to a creative career. Companies in many industries are realizing how in-house creatives can impact their bottom line. The demand for art directors, copywriters, designers, content creators and creative strategists will only increase in the years to come.
